Maybe it's too shocking for some, but I seriously recommend this film (not that it needs recommending since all the reviews are brilliant). Not quite sure how they got a long film out of a short story though~~ It made me cry (I've been crying too much lately at films and books).

planned to see it last night but this film is not showing here till Friday night...
Ang Lee is cool! (and from Taiwan!)
saw 'match point' instead.. went with callie and stef (her housemate) and they were starting to have a row right after the film coz S is a big fan of Woody Allen but C kept saying bad things about him...
ps. i wrote my future piano teacher and i might have my first lesson with her this sunday! how cool!
oh i'm incredibly jealous about the piano lessons... hope you really enjoy them though. i'll lend you the 'i giorni' cd asap.
can't figure out whether i want to see 'match point' yet or not... the trailer kind of gives away the whole plot.
That trailer made me think the same thing: it looks alright but what more do I need to know?
My flatmate cried at Brokeback Mountain too, but said she was embarassed by it. Don't think I've ever cried at a film in the cinema ...
I still want to see A Cock And Bull Story.
Richard you have to see this film too though. I mean it.
I know! Maybe I'll get the chance this weekend. (I'll be in York from saturday PM and perhaps A. will be around too I think.)
jenny did you hear that this film won the best drama and also our taiwan-born Ang Lee won the best director!!
hopefully i'll get to see it tomorrow night
