It was such a lovely morning that I couldn't resist taking a picture of the wonderful "star-gazer" lilies that are in our garden... Aren't they beautiful?

Your flowers are nice, but not as nice as mine. Mine look nicer because I mulched them properly. Now let that be a lesson to you!

Hello, Alan. What does 'mulch' mean, please?

jennywren, mulching is about being a better gardener and growing flowers which aren't just nice, but special.

Learn about mulching here.

Have you read any of my novels? They're really bad but loads of people seem to buy them so I just keep churning them out.

Richard, I know it's you. You're the only one who uses italics in your messages.

I hold up my hands. I've been rumbled. Sorry if anyone was confused, I was just pretending to be Alan Titchmarsh. I mean, how could he possibly have been posting on Jenny's blog when of course he's a fictional character voiced by Gordon the Garden Gnome.

The flowers are lovely really.

Hey. Guess what? I've just submitted my thesis and been given my new contract on the same day. I'm quite relieved now.

Hey Jenny, can I borrow your sleeping bag please? My parents only have ones that are as old as I am.
